How best to carry on working -Will this be considered wrong?

I have a question about being self employed.

I have stopped my business in order to concentrate on paying my owed taxes. I am a freelance first aid trainer.

I was going to try and go employed as I thought that would be better as HMRC would probably make me bankrupt.

Not to throw five years of building up a business go to waste, my wife who was not previously employed, is going to start up as self employed and take up the reins of my previous business, new name, new bank account, sorted out from the beginning with accountant etc. I would get a job and not work with the company.

She would have a better quality trainer, and earn more money if she actually employed me PAYE.

But if I am going bankrupt would that be a wise move? Would the OR think I was doing something wrong, as she would pay me the going rate

Thanks for anybody who will give advice.

what assets does the business have, i presume not much, there is no prob in her employing you, but why not just continue to be self employed after the bankruptcy, its a lot less paperwork
