Hi All,
I have a debt with natwest bank that i owe them £699.00. This has come from bnank charges that they kept adding.
I have just had a look at my credit report and this natwest account is not on it at all. And u know they sent me a letter saying they were given me a default for this account.
So why is it no showing on my report?
Cheers

Which credit report did you check, some lenders only report to one of the credit reference agencies? have you tried both experian and equifax?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

I have done my credit report through equifax.0

NW told me they were defaulting me via a letter a few years back. It was in May. I managed to stay completely up to date with my payments, and then they finally applied it in November.
I got a default and they refunded me the interest I had paid since May. They lost money, I gained a default.
So don't be surprised if it shows up somewhere in the future.0 -
I would request your report from Equifax as well (either £2 or the free trial), you may well find its on there.
If not sometimes a debt seems to temporarily disappear when sold to a DCA but then appears again (could be you just requested it at the wrong time).
Failing that if the default was 6years ago then it would have dropped off your credit file.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
