Will DWP Strike Delay Benefit Payments?

Will the current DWP strike delay the payment of benefits? My dole is due to be paid into my bank account on Wednesday (I signed last Friday), and my mum gets her pension paid in every Tuesday.
So will there be a delay with the money going into the bank accounts?

Not all civil servants will be joining the strike today and tomorrow and they are offering those that remain overtime to cover capacity.0

I work for the Jobcentre, no the strikes won't effect any payments due.
Not all staff are on strike, only union members (and not all of them are striking) so the Jobcentre is still open
Hope this helps

I was just wondering the same, only this is a year on from the OP. Mine is usually received on a Thursday, but nothing has come through yet. I know that my local is striking (Norwich), and thought maybe that was the cause of the delay? Can't reach anyone on the phone. Bit of a mare, got bills due. :-(0

Only 7 contact centre sites are actually on strike. Staff in the job centres and benefit delivery centres are at work as normal.
There should not have been a delay in your benefit due to this.
It may be worth popping into your local jobcentre to see if they can find out for you as you will obviously struggle to get through on the phones today0
