Rennovation Question

Do I need to consult my lender before undertaking substantial total renovation of a property? I already own it - the energy and the money to do the work I want to do has just become available!

You need to talk to your insurance company, if you do not update your insrance to cover the works this could affect your mortgage, as you require appropriate cover.
I am renovating, and simply got a renovation type insurance cover, normal buildings insurance will most likely not cover the works. Plus specific insurance gives you site insurance of builders getting injured on site etc.I can take no responsibility for the use of any free comments given, any actions taken are the sole decision of the individual in question after consideration of my free comments.
That also means I cannot share in any profits from any decisions made!;)0 -
