Morrisons "Mothers Day Feast" - STARTS FRI 12/3

  • To be fair, this isn't the greatest deal, they are simply placing four offers together. I'm aware that Tesco are not having a full meal deal like Valentines but shall be running a promo where there is a choice of starters, meats, vegetable accompaniments and a dessert for a total of £10, saving around £8.

I think the meats include half price pork legs, steaks and a chicken dish. The veg accompaniments are the usual 2 for £3 ones that can be bought in fixture. The desserts are apple crumble or pie and tiramasu.

The deal is going to be displayed from Friday morning. I'll confirm the full list tomorrow when I've seen the stock.

It wasn't Covent Garden, it was Morrison's 'Best' Tomato and Balsamic or whatever their premium range is called. I know because I still have a tub in my freezer. It was horrible and too vinegary for us.
I'll probably get the meat and trifle. It's not a fantastic deal, and the veg is nowhere near enough for a family of four.

some parts of the country it was morrisons own, and other parts it was covent garden, all depended on supply issues in each area of country

Whether you save £1 or £7 it IS still a bargain and one that I will be getting - if they have any left on Friday. The joint of meat that I got at Christmas was beautiful, didn't like the soup but went well in a slow coker stew, as did the veg and my lad loved the trifle! In my opinion you cannot go wrong! :T

    Hi,

In response to some peoples posts.I just dont see how some people say this aint a bargain.Granted some people dont necessarily like the same as others but that does not mean that something is not a bargain. If you look at the deal objectively rather from your own point of view you will normally see what the majority also see.ie its a bargain. You couldn't make a 600g trifle for 75p never mind buy one somewhere.Anyway rant over.
    Sorry

  • does anyone go to Farm Foods? Deals are very common there every day, for example 2 x 2 litre semi-skimmed milk costs £1.50 yes thats right £1.50 in the big supermarkets they retail approx £1.53 for 1 x 2litre. Also 2 loaves of Hovis wholemeal bread - full size for £1. Their deals are numerous. Take my word for it, you can save a fortune there, they leave Morrisons standing.

we use farmfoods for frozen, but to say they leave morrisons standing is a bit over the top, yes the deals you mention are very good, but other than frozen the range is pretty limited, morrisons have offers on more lines than farmfoods have products so to say there offers are better is a little over the top, but as i say we do use them for frozen, as they do have a etter range and better offers on frozen items
