My mum has got one and uses it loads-they are fab. We cook sausages on the top first then have loads of different things to choose from to go with it....blueberries, cooked chicken, pineapple and cheese are a personal fav of mine. It's a good price-my mums is from germany and cost quite a bit more. Oh and you can get raclette cheese too. hth.xx0

I have no experience with this particular one, but I want one of these.
It's great for girly night in or something like that - We went for dinner to friends house once and they had this - great fun. Just loaded bowls with different kind of things and everyone prepared their own food.0 -
Are you/were you a fan of the Fondue Set? Do you have one, do you still use it? If you do, then I would imagine you would get a great deal of fun out of this. Otherwise, you might use it a few times, get bored with it and push it to the back of the cupboard with the Fondue!
Okay, so you may not have Fondue Set, but it does fit into that "seemed like a good idea, but isn't in the long run" sort of gizmo.0 -
Racelttes are great - i live in France in the alpes and we use ours loads in the winter. Its great to cooks alsorts of food but the best is melting cheese and putting it on top of your potatoes, then having it with a salad and some meats that you cook on top of it!! Not good for the hips but delicious all the same. Its also great for kids, it gets them involved in the cooking and makes them eat more!!! (be careful of the heat from it with them) if you but it i hope you enjoy it!0

Hi!
We often use one of these when I go to visit my family at home in Holland.
We cook our own chicken, mini burgers, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, peppers etc...
It is great fun! And would recommend buying one! Enjoy0 -

We have had a metal one from lidl and really easy to use, but the stone ones are better as our friends who introduced us to them have one from france and it cleans better.
Everyone who has shared a raclette meal dinner party with us loves it as its very social and takes ages so very easy to down lots of wine and chat x0 -
We used one last year when we stayed in a house in France. Mostly had potatoes, bacon and raclette cheese (from Lidl). It was fab! Only problem was, at the time, the weather was scorching, about 39 degrees and it got pretty warm whilst sitting inside 'racletting'. I'd love one but can't justify buying at the moment. I've asked on freegle but no joy yet....0

We also bought one from Lidl quite a few years ago - they sell them every few months about £15 or less. They are very sociable - cook some nice new potatoes, knock up a salad and a choice of cold meats and raw meat to cook on the top. The cheese can be tricky to get in the UK.0
