Wilkinson's are currently doing an offer on kitchen devil kitchen knife kits.
The 5 piece set is going for an incredible £8, Asda well... £25 for the same item. It's also worth noting that you can get individual knives by kitchen devil for approximately 50p to a £1 cheaper in there too than your average supermarket.:beer:

I have only just caught up with your thread and only on Friday did I nearly buy this knife block at Asda and yes they are priced at £25. Too late now for Wilks but I will go tomorrow. Kitchen Devil knives are fab. I have actually cut down a small tree with a kitchen devil bread knife. Seriously. And it's still going strong.

My kitchen devil knife set is having its 21st birthday in July, and it was around £30 when we bought it back then and still as good as new, except for one lost knife! £8 sounds a great buy, think I will have to go and have a look. Thanks OP.

Oooh exellent! I'm going to have a look next time i'm in town! I can never get any decent knives in my price range and i really want some good ones.

You didn't do a very good job of cutting it down if it's still going strong

Joking aside, I've got a full set of Kitchen Devils knives too. Best knives I've ever used, though I payed a fair bit more than £8 for mine. I'm almost tempted to buy some spares at that price.

Back from my local Wilks - not available although the Customer service desk were extremely helpful. Rang a bigger Wilks and they have a set for £7 (5 piece) and they are in stock. Just got to make my mind up whether to trail there or not as its raining (again)

Managed to get one in the bigger Wilks. Its called the Kitchen Devils Classic range. Don't know what the full price should be, but I was charged £7. Going to do a quick internet search to try and find the 'real' price. The one I have bought is not the same as the Asda stock was. Still a good deal 5 knives and knife block for £7. Sally
