Does anyone have any experience of this?, its sometimes referred to as Silver Water, I would be especially interested if anyone has used this internally (by drinking it), in case you haven't heard of it (I hadn't until a couple of days ago when I came across it by accident whilst researching something else) below is a link explaining what it is.

And here's a link to another website that isn't trying to sell the stuff...

I haven't read your links, but I (and my family) have been using this for years. I'm a big fan of applied kinesiology and it's used in this. As I understand it, and the only way I can describe it, is it's prescribed as an "antibiotic" and can help with the treatment viruses. It's hard to describe the effect, but has always been very sucessful for us. The brand we use is Metabolics if this helps.0

There is no scientific evidence that colloidal silver has any beneficial effect on the body. There is, however, lots of evidence that it has potentially serious side effects. And it can turn your skin blue-grey. Enough reason to steer clear of it I reckon. Unless you'd enjoy looking like a smurf.0

I'm sure I saw a news programme a couple of years ago where some American guy had been taking colloidal silver internally against the warnings of everyone else. He was on TV because he had turned into the Tin Man's dad - permanently. It's called argyria, I think, and it's because the build up of metal in the bloodstream changes the colour of everything. A quick glance at any [STRIKE]snake oil[/STRIKE] colloidal silver sales site will reveal that they are all talking about evil pharma cartels, government conspiracies, guaranteed cancer cures, prevention of all neonatal fatalities, etc.
I think the general advice - never mind what a pharmacist or doctor would tell you - is NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.
I am sure, if you look hard enough, that there will be a website somewhere willing to tell you that, because it was used as a remedy in olden times, that lead, mercury or arsenic is guaranteed to be a cure for something. Usually with something about halting the ageing process. Which they would, although there would be the slight inconvenience of being dead.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Oooft that stuff sounds barbaric! Sounds like complete and utter quackery to me. How I long for the day when women (and men of course) realise that ageing isn't an illness but a process. Trying to prevent it is a waste of time, and sadly in lots of cases, huge amounts of money.Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

Hang on....
'Colloidal Silver is one of the oldest remedies in the World and can be traced as far back as the ancient Greek and Roman Empires.'
are these the same Empires that used lead as make up?
And it cures:
'Acne . Anthrax Wouldn't it completely negate the use of biological warfare then?. Appendicitis 'Don't worry Doctor, I'll just drink my magic silver water and my appendix will unrupture itself'. Arthritis [just laughs].
Athlete's Foot . Bacterial infections . Bladder infections . Blood poisoning . Boils . Burns . Cancer Now, you know it's against the law to promise a cure for cancer, that's just naughty.
Candida Albicans . Catarrh .Chronic Fatigue Syndrome . Colitis . Conjunctivitis . Cryptosporidium infection . Cystitis. Dermatitis . Diabetes . Diarrhoea . Diphtheria . Dysentery . Ear infection . Eczema . Epstein Barr Virus. Eustachian tube infection . Fibrosis. Gastritis. Gonorrhoea. Haemorrhoids . Herpes virus . Impetigo . Influenza . Intestinal disorders . Legionnaire's Disease .
Leprosy Nope, I think you'll find that antibiotics dealt with this nasty - otherwise wouldn't those clever Romans and Greeks have eliminated it? . Lesions .
Lupus Try posting this on an SLE site. Lyme disease .
Malaria Because, of course, Bill Gates is giving his fortune to scientists when he could just fill the sea with silver water instead. Meniere's disease . Meningitis . Neurasthenia . Opthaimia. Paratyphoid fever . Pleurisy . Pneumonia .
Polio virus Nope. That'll be the vaccination programme.. Prostate disorders . Pruritis ani Soap, water and talcum powder deals with most cases of this. .Psoriasis . Pyorrhoea . Rheumatism . Rhinitis . Ringworm . Rosacea . Salmonella infection . Scarlet fever . Scborrhoca . Septicaemia Yeah, do the glass test and rush your child to an alternative health website. Septic ulcers .
Shingles But if it cured this, it would also cure chickenpox - did you forget to add that onto your esteemed list?. Skin cancer Sunblock is far more useful. Although maybe when you're permanently grey, perhaps they think you bounce the UVA/UVB rays off like the bonnet of a Ford Focus?. Sores . Staphylococcus infection .
Stomach ulcer H.pylori just needs a short course of real meds, other causes - like excessive drinking just need to be stopped.. Streptococcus infection . Sunburn Standard burns treatment - ie, cool compresses would be more useful in taking the heat out. And I bet a cuppa tea would taste better.
Syphilis Wasn't that mercury they used to inject up the man's - ?. Tetanus . Thyroid dysfunction What type? Hypo or hyper - or does it just guess which one it is?. Trachoma ..Tonsillitis .
Trench foot Not being a World War One Tommy helps here. Tuberculosis BCG anyone?. Typhoid . Ulcers . Warts . Whooping cough . Yeast infections . all forms of virus . Whooping Cough . Canine Parvovirus & other veterinary uses . Fungal and viral attacks on plants.
Yeah, by all means, go ahead and pay them your money - after all, there's nothing here to show them as being amoral, manipulative, sensation seeking, conspiracy theorist charlatans preying on the weak, sick and desperate...I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
To be fair though, silver does have some useful properties - it IS antimicrobial and has been used in a number of applications from wound dressings to washing machines. I believe the environmentalists got upset when LG used it in one of theirs as there was concern that the silver water may act as a "natural" antibiotic in streams when it made it back into the water system. Some computer keyboards have had silver incorporated for hygiene reasons.
Whether or not it's safe to ingest in anything other than small quantities I don't know. The infamous picture of the blue man needs to be seen in the light of how much he took and for how long.
That said, I don't use it (or sell it or recommend it or have anything to do with it). I'm open to the idea that it might be safer than some of the more dangerous antibiotics that some GPs prescribe willy nilly. Topically it may be quite useful - but then there are other natural antibiotics that could be used instead.0 -
We use this on my little ones molluscum - caught we think at swimming baths .... having tried lots of things this sprayed on to the spots seems to be doing the trick!:jPobodys Nerfect:j0

Its interesting that this old thead has been bumped, I bought some silver water, I dont take it internally but use it to help external cuts etc to heal without scaring, I use it on myself and the rest of the family including my various animals and although I have no explanation why this stuff really works and reduces scaring and speeds up recovery really quickly:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Silver does have antibacterial properties hence it is used in medical clothing and dressings, but it is an entirely different thing to ingest it. One of my favourite sites is quackwatch http://www.quackwatch.com/ which exposes quackery. Here is it's page on colloidal silver. Click on the yellow links to read more, it debunks alot of the "facts" above and details the legal actions taken by the FDA etc (American agency regulating medicines).http://www.quackwatch.com/search/webglimpse.cgi?ID=1&query=Colloidal+silver0
