Expensive Tablets

Hope someone out there may be able to help.

Hubby has to take lots of medication for health problems. The Gp does the perscription for 2 monthly but with 5 items that cuts into our budget quite a bit....

How do other people manage -

Also he cant eat certain foods as they react with the medication and that includes beer!! Not that he has lots but is very ill after one pint of the cheap stuff.... Yep I know ... dont drink beer - is there a substitute he could have instead

Any ideas welcome...

Have you looked into a Prepayment Certificate

    Quote from NHS site

People who have to pay for more than 5 prescription items in 4 months, or 14 items in 12 months, could save money by buying a PPC. Details of the current prescription charge and pre-payment certificate costs are available from leaflet HC12 - Charges and optical voucher values.
It's easier to get forgiveness than to ask permission ;)
