Oh Nanna it sounds awful, I have no experience as my kids haven't gotten married or had children yet but I do understand the fierce love you feel for your grandsons and son. Its really hard you just have to be there for them, they're 8 now so getting a wee bit sensible and will see that the life their mum offeres isn't really the best way. They will remember the happy times with you and your son when they are older and hopefully forget the not so good times with their mum (notice small m). Don't you go getting upset cos its not worth it and the boys wouldn't want to see you upset. Does he have to let them go?? Could he not invent a surprise event that he has to go to? It would be worth spending the cash to keep them at home.
Not all mum's are like you, I didn't have the benefit of a great mum, but can I tell you I noticed her deficiencies quite early, children are not daft.
So please don't cry, just keep on doing the job you are so good at, and ask your son to think about that surprise outing, wish we could have a whipround to sort out the cost.
sending hugs

It would seem that you are in good company here, think we're all a bit fed up.
Right, I'm in the chair, who fancies a drink, but nothing fancy 'cos I don't know how to make them.

my boys "mom" sserves no purpose just causes problems upsets us all and makes me soooo angry:mad::mad:
.When she left son n boys, she told court she wanted them fri night till saturday . Thats what she has.while they are at home (which is opposite me) they are happy well adjusted polite and georgous. Saturdays they come home around 2 and are grumpy n miserable because she and her boyfriend took um to pubthe night before and they went to bed late.I do all the "mom" things sew buttons on clean shoes out plasters on etc.....she left saying she is not cut out to be a mom and wife. She got engaged again spends most of the time in a pub.She wants them 2mor and son doesnt want rthem to go but has to try to keep a balance as to not upset them as they are only 8(twins) cos they could end up blaming him. He has had to give up work to look after hid=s boys and they ar so close. At the moment i am shaking again and could sob at the drop of a hat:(
thanks for reading and i am sorry but i needed that:)I'm back, just been out with son and family for a meal. He is so upbeat about things, I can't believe how he is dealing with things.
Just need a cup of tea, and then early night......work tomorrow.
Thank you all for reminding me I've got nothing much to complain about. Sorry for being a grumpy guts. I'm off for an early night, gonna be back happy and jolly again tomorrow0
