Barclay Card started charging interest again!!

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. I cam currently with the cccs and making my monthly payments to pay of my debt and my credit card company's etc have all agreed not to charge interest.
I am know on my second year and barclays have started to charge me interest on my payments.:( I have spoken to the cccs twice and both times they said they will send a letter to them on my behalf, which i am sure they have done but i keep getting charged interest. So i am paying back about £25 and interest of £6.
Does anyone know if there is a way i could go about trying to stop them charging me anything?
Any advice is most welcome
Cheers

Well, in my experience it's sometimes worth writing to the creditor yourself and not just rely on your Debt Management Company to do all the work. If you make it clear that you feel that you are being treated unfairly given that you have been making regular payments without fail through CCCS they might take it on board and stop charging interest again.

I had a similar problem with Halifax. They stopped charging interest and then a year or so later started again. I did ask my DMP company to contact them about this but backed it up by sending a Recorded Delivery letter to Halifax myself. It worked and they stopped the interest.

Hi, snap. they have started charding me interest again, its about £4 on the balance of 1843. Not the end of world i suppose as it would have been a lot more if they charged me the proper rate. cccs send a request to stop (twice now) and they are still charding it, but as cccs will tell you its there perogative if they stop or not.

Yep, they've started charging me interest too. Had a feeling they would as I've recently increased my payments to CCCS quite considerably and am now paying B/C about the same as I would be if was making minimum payments as before.

I do actually think they are charging a lot less interest than before so I will bear with it for the time being as I am still making headway with the debt but if they increase it then I will write.

National Debtline website has a good template letter you can use to write to them for this purpose.

    Good luck.

    Hi

If you are now paying back at least the minimum payment then you will be liable to pay interest as you will be back to the original terms of your agreement when you took the account out.

as far as i am aware anyways

    Yep, think you are right.

Still appears to be a lot less interest than I was paying so I will bear with it.
