    can anyone give me advise
when I was with my OH we signed a contract to the house (jan this year) for 12 month the rent is 600 per month and its killing me

OH has gone, but hasnt' gone BR yet so it wont effect him if I leave

anyone know if they is anything I can do to get out of the contract?

I'm sorry curly, I don't know anything about this. What does the lease/contract say? Can you ring the CAB for advise?

To be honest curly no, if you were already BR when you signed the contract then your liable for it now. If OH has not gone BR yet they could get out of it but then it would all fall on you.. did you have to have a guarantor when you signed?
There are other options, if you can find another tenant to replace you? if you did it through a agent you could ask them to remarket the property telling them your financial difficulties..
