    hi again
please dont turn the rbs loan into secured against the house, you can afford to repay your debt and could put more to them by tightening your belts alittle and all with out risking your house remember you say your house is worth 130000 is that what you paid/think or is that current value as it may have gone down a little and you owe 95000 your prob close to 75% ltv by putting another 11000 onto your house would take you prob to just over 80% ltv making getting remortgaged harder and cost more apr wise, please please think before securing any debts againt the house

It makes me chuckle that you think that electricity is high mine is £120 a month and was £173 and SP said it was right, thats just what people pay for being all electric.

This puzzles me, i have the tv on all day and 2 computers that are always on 24 hours a day + heating a 4 bedroom house and i pay £57 a month for duel fuel (gas and electric) .

HOW? I have a large 4 bed detached house with 5 of us and we were paying £103 per month for gas and electric combined. This was upped by Scottish Power to £132 (in Feb) per month to make up for the extra usage during the very cold snap. I will be back in credit soon so I know my dd will reduce accordingly.

I shopped around for the best fixed deal and my house, although large, is
well insulated with low energy bulbs and appliances.

I'm all electric also and don't pay anything like that! £70pm is what I pay and that seems a lot!

It's just me in a 2 bedroomed house and I'm out at work all day so no electricity being used during the day. Like you, am rubbish as switching stuff off!

One thing that I did do was switch the immersion heater off and not leave it on 24 hours a day. Thought it would be cheaper to leave the hot water on all the time but it seems it's not.

Then you are very lucky, because I have been fighting with SP for months and they say its right for a 3 bed flat and our usuage is 'normal', plus I do not use tumble dryer anymore and have only 2 heaters on, wish I was paying less believe me
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of car payments.;)

Everyone is entitled to an opinion whether you think its right or wrong, courtesy costs nothing

I'm with SP so I suggest you challenge them further as I'm sure you can get a better deal especially as fuel prices are supposed to have dropped.
