Fixed rate ending when to start looking

Hi

My fixed rate (extremely high) ends in December; can anyone tell me when the best time would be to start looking. At 94% LTV I know I'm going to have to stick with A and L but when should I start making calls?

thanks

I'd start thinking about it in September and see where you are then. No-one knows what base rates, house values or mortgage rates will be by then - could be you're better staying on whatever your follow on rate is, but best to judge later in the year. Overpay as much as you can in the meantime in order to try to get your LTV down.

What does your mortgage revert to at the end of the fix?
SVR ? hopefully cheaper than the High Fix you have now.
If you can ( no other expensive debts!) overpay the mortgage each month
