Ed has unfortunately passed away.
There are more details on the MSE pension forum where EdInvestor was perhaps best known in these parts.

Ed's knowledge and painstaking advice helped many people on MSE caught up in the fog of with profits endowment mortgage issues, so I thought her passing deserved a mention on this forum.
She was also a political campaigner back in the 1970s for the right of women to obtain a mortgage.
