We just got back from our wedding in Thailand and have decided that we need money more than a dress for a keepsake, so looking to sell it.
Where is the best place to sell a wedding dress and get a decent amount for it? We were thinking ebay but there are other sites like http://www.sellmyweddingdress.co.uk/ Any reccomendations?
It is Pronuptia "Star" and a was brought new for 500 quid. What is a fair price for selling it second hand?

Usually dresses go for about 50% of retail price on the US resale sites.0

I bought my wedding dress of ebay, its an Alfred Angelo dress, costly a little over £1000 new, i got it for £95.
I'll be honest with you - i wouldnt have paid more than £100 for a wedding dress unseen, as it is a lot of money to waste if it turns up and isnt to your taste or doesnt fit.
If you watch a few dresses on ebay, unless they are particularly rare or were very expensive (> £2k) when new, they dont tend to sell for anything more than £150. There are plenty of dresses that i have been watching that started at more than £150 which just keep getting relisted and relisted. Never any bids on them and they are absolutely stunning dresses.
If you look on oxfams wedding dress online shop that will give you a good idea of what second had dresses are worth, most are less than £300 and i guess people would be willing to pay more to them as it is for charity.
Good luck
