Hi to all, sorry have not updated sooner. Well lets see.. so the OR accepted £4,000 + £211 solicitors fees, which our third party sent to them. We then got some assignment deeds sent to us by TLT which we had to sign & get witnessed. That was 3 weeks ago, so yesterday we got the deeds sent back to us, having been signed by the OR. The covering letter states that TLT (the solicitors) will be contacting the land registry to inform them of the OR not having an interest in the property anymore. I see from some threads that others have had to deal with the land registry themselves, fill out transfer forms which the TLT have included with the signed assignment deeds and pay £50 to get them to change it back to them etc... but I rang the OR and asked them whether there was anything we needed to do, and they said no?! So hopefully they are right, and that's it? If anyone else know different, please let us know!
The OR has said that they have sent letters to our creditors asking whether they have any objection to us having ED, apparently they have 35 days to respond/reject. So that takes us to the end of June say, but does anyone know how long after this we may actually get ED? I know the OR has to apply to the court, but was just wandering if anyone had any experience of time scales on this? Know it's a long shot!0 -
Hi Broke
When we bought our BI we had the same letter as you have now and roughly 2 weeks later received confirmation from OR solicitors that the restriction in favour of the OR had been removed, enclosed was an official copy from the Land Registry of title which confirmed no restrictions. We didnt have to do anything further ourselves re the land registry. I realise its been an uphill struggle for you sorting out the BI, so im glad its virtually over for you now, and you never know that ED might happen for you. Sorry i cant advise on that as we are in it for the full 12 months!!
All the best
