barclays account - please advise

Hi,
We have a barclays current account that has an overdraft limit of 1100, we are currently at 1500 due to the charges that they keep putting on it for being over the limit. We are paying as much as possible on it each month, but it's not going back into the limit due to the charges, sometimes it's 200 a month they are putting on it.
I'm going to Barclays this morning, and wondered if anyone knew if they could freeze the account and stop the charges, give us a chance to get back on the correct side of the overdraft.?
Any help would be great.
Thanks
V

Hey V, we are in the exact same boat, but with HSBC, im just going to finish my cup of tea and head into town to try the same!
Best of luck, and fingers crossed.

Hi Jai,
Good Luck. My sister had luck with the same situation with HSBC, they turned it into a bridging loand, froze everytthing and she paid a set amount back. I don't think barclays are like that though.
Thanks
