It is a blow, but I know that owning a car means possible expensive repairs occasionally. At least my DFW journey has taught me to save something immediately my salary comes in so that I can cover emergencies like this.
It's difficult to know whether to save a bit or throw everything at the debt. If I had done that, I wouldn't have the money to pay for my car. At the moment I have several accounts that I put a bit into at the start of each month - one of which is a debt-busting fund. I am trying to let this mount up a bit then will try again with F&Fs. It means that IF I do need it for an emergency (and I really do mean emergency, not just a new top!) then I still have it. I have other pots for Christmas and general savings too. It seems to be working for me as I have learned to work with what is in my current account. If it's not in there, I don't buy it. Simples.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -
Cheers Beanie. It's my second payout in 4 years!! LOL.

I've been a bit lax on the surveys this year. Had just got to the £10 payment on cashinco when they disappeared.
Keep forgetting to do the Lightspeed ones and I really must cos I got loads of voucers last year. Only up to £20 on Onepoll.0 -
Mmm eccles cakes.
That's good about the bill Suzy. I too have lots of different accounts - 3, and 3 piggy banks.
Pap, ignore them.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Went to the Hypnotherapist last night to try to cure me of my phobia of spiders - hasn't worked yet!!
Got a second visit next Friday, and some visualising to do during the week. As I said to him I have had this phobia for years, so it isn't likely to disappear overnight!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I'm the same.
I've got three savings accounts and three piggy banks. One of them is my radley bag fund. I know it will take me an age to get to the required sum, as it's 1/2ps.
