F&F Help

I have a debt being chased by a DCA for £3500. They have offered me £2500 as an opening gambit, which is 71% of the debt.

What level should I hit them back with, in terms of a counter-offer?

I have CCA'd them, and gone back and forward etc, but cannot be sure if the debt is enforceable or not.

Many thanks,

Arfhur.

If you make an offer...you admit the debt. So be careful if you have so far not admitted the debt.
have a look on 'Unenforcability and Template Letters' thread, maybe post up what you have got from the DCA?

Got to dash, but have a look there. If you want to admit it, and have the money, try 20% as an opener.
    :D:D stay wonky :D:D

That is a good point there. I will remember that.

    Thanks
