Weekend 6th/7th March - what small DFW thing have you done this weekend?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D:beer::j

  • Hi all

I've not been doing particularly brilliantly over the last couple of days due to stress from interview so need to get back on the wagon. On the plus side, they have called me in for a second interview. Not sure I actually want the job as would be longer commute but could potentialy be more money so would have to weigh it all up if I did get offered it.

    Today for me:
    • Scratchies
    • Check quid co
    • Check banking
    • Redo budget after accidentally buying a suit (cheap!) and some flip flops
    • LSD
    • Try and get housemates to pay me money for bills
    • Avoid the lure of going out - they are trying to persuade me to go out for 2nd week running!
    • Study hard
    Hope everyone enjoys their Saturdays!

This is going to be a long list and even though we have family visiting and weve got to go and visit some family in between I will get it done!!!

    - Even though I do have to spend this weekend, not spend on rubbish
    - take 2 tops back to primark

    - Photocopy letters to Sky and Bank PPI and prepare to send
    - List 2 items on Ebay
    - Complete new DD mandate for CT and prepare to send
    - As all the new bills are coming in for the new financial year sort out current year folder and file away and then set up new file and write down new monthly budget.
    - clean clean clean!!!
    - do some ironing but not make a meal out of it so can save electric.
    - hokey cokey washing and put on line! :j:j:j
    - post ebay item providing they pay
    - check oil and water in car and fill wipers up.
    - go and get my nails done as my treat
