Hey all,
I am posting this with permission.
For those who do not know, Endometriosis is a chronic condition which afflicts a sizeable fraction of women. It is a condition which often is mis-diagnosed and misunderstood, even amongst medical practitioners. Most significantly, the condition can be a major factor in the lives of the women who are affected and there is no cure or universally effective treatment.
To try and spread awareness of the condition and the impact it can have, next week is National Endometriosis Awareness Week. There are many events going on across the country but there is one taking place in Armagh. The event will take the form of a pub quiz at the Armagh City Hotel, on Monday 8th March at 8pm. The setup is with 4 people per team and the entry fee is £10 per team. There will be prizes (Paintballing in Dublin I think!) and a raffle and all profits from the event will go directly to the Endometriosis charity to help with their great work in supporting sufferers.
So please come and support the event so that we can all help make things better.
Many thanks for reading.
