No spend days: how do you do it?

I just tend to commit minor criminal offences that will lead to just cautions instead of fines. That way you get to spend the day in a cell where it's impossible to spend money. You even get to use the phone for free.
Indencent exposure. Insulting police officers. Being drunk and disorderly in a public place. These are a few of my favourites.0 -

That's where we differ SS.
I'd quite like a constable to get familiar with me :rotfl:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Just leave everything at home!
I seem to spend money simply because I have the means available to spend it, like the debt card etc or a bit of cash.
Although a small amount of cash might be good to have for emergencies.
I don't think you should punish yourself for not having no spends though, some people can't avoid them simply because of how their life pans out, maybe just try to keep your spending to a minimum and congratulate yourself on that aspect.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I don't get any time to spend during the week generally due to work.
I take 15 mins for lunch because of time restrictions at after school club for collecting DS, but I'm wondering has anyone asked to shorten their lunch break (to stop you going off to the shops) and then to leave work earlier and go straight home?!! I'm always focussed on getting home for a decent cup of tea!
I take a packed lunch everyday and keep a supply of drink/snacks at the office.
Any money spent during the week tends to be school related. The weekends are my problem..but I make a list of what I plan to buy at the weekend (food, petrol, anything else) and it gives me the week to really think about whether it's a need or a want - if the latter, I cross it off my list. I always try to work out what I'm going to spend first, so often I don't take out the full amount of budget. If the cash isn't in my purse, I can't spend it and I only use my bank cashpoint - which is a pain to get to! All that takes away the impulse.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Take pack up
No debit card
And an emergency £10 note at bottom of rucksack
I class no spend ans not spending anything i havent planned for.
This week , I will do ok , as I have Petrol Tomorrow (20 quid) then hopefully get van Tuesday (so no fuel to station and having to claim expnses back) and then make sure I take pack ups.0 -

Sounds great....except the Health & Safety act states you have to take a minimum of half an hour lunch break if you work over 6 hours (I think) so it wouldn't work for a lot of people.
I'd love to get outta work sooner!
I have found that no spend days take so much will power OR having something else to do at lunchtime to prevent boredom spending, which I am majorly guilty of.
Try to plan to get your top up groceries on the day you have to pay for another 'bill' or whatever so that most of your money goes out the same day then, if you can face it, plan out your lunch times i.e. "Monday I will walk to the palk and do three laps of said park" or "Tuesday I will take a book to read in the canteen/garden/park" or whatever.
It does take organisation & will power though it really does....now which aisle are they in...?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Somehow, I don't think you're alone in that...LookingAhead wrote:I have found that no spend days take so much will power OR having something else to do at lunchtime to prevent boredom spending, which I am majorly guilty of.
I used to eat my dinner, then go off in the car to a local view, and read. Now I go to a local riverside "amenity" and go for a brisk walk. Been melting in this heat tho...LookingAhead wrote:It does take organisation & will power though it really does....now which aisle are they in...?
