Canon 30D with 18-55mm lens kit £775 or less

Thought I'd share this.

At currys they have a web special of the Canon 30D with a 18-55 lens kit for only £827.01 (this on it's own seems a good price)
http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/store/cur_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1051605866.1153635946@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccciaddigfkhhehcflgceggdhhmdfho.0&page=Product&fm=1&sm=0&tm=undefined&sku=434210&category_oid=-20424

However with the discount code found here
http://currys.special-offers-page.com/

it brings it down to £787.01

but if you go through Rpoints you get a 1.5% rebate which brings it down to £775.20

Then if paid via a money back credit card you can get even more off, they do accept AMEX.

  • They've got it at Dixons for £808.97, but if you pay via your egg money card you'll get 10% off this(July only). I'm sure I saw a voucher for £50 off a £500 pound spend on the vouchers board as well bringing it down to £678.07. Just noticed that it's currently sold out but I'm sure this is right - correct me if I'm wrong!

They've still got the body only in stock - using the egg money card and the £50 off voucher, this comes to £643.48!!!!!

    nice one,

thats quite a bit cheaper, I've cancelled my order and applied for an egg card :) I've spoken with egg and they say the dixons 10% is going to run for a while.
I just need to hope the dixons £50 off voucher doesn't expire and the price doesn't go up
  • hi has anyone seen any good deals on the cannon eos 5d as thats the one i really want .... although if not i'll prob go for this as its a cracking deal

sorry not really been looking at the 5D, but i did wonder past Jacobs the other day and saw it at £15xx which I thought was a rteasonable price. I can't remember the price exactly as I wasn't really looking for one of them.

Typical, Dixons don't seem to be stocking the 30D anymore
  • Canon are doing a £200 cash back offer at the mo on the 5d. The link is here

I'd keep checking the dixons website misty - when I bought my 350d last year on the egg card/curries/mastercard promotion, it was in and out of stock all the time.

the 5D is a lot more money, and can't really justify it. I've noticed Currys have put their prices up, if dixons come back into stock I hope they don't follow suit.

Feel like i've missed out now.
