Till-spit vouchers for extra Tesco Clubcard points

After the deadline I know, but I received a 500 point till spit for £20 or more on ladies clothing!! Combined with my 300 points for footwear, I'm going to try it out on Wednesday with the clothing vouchers!!

Funny thing is, I used hubby's card first on a £13 spend, no spit.

Used my card, spent £1.00, generated the spit! Strange.

Still trying to work out the logic of till spits: got none last monday or tuesday, but three (over two clubcards ) yesterday. 300 pts on computer game, 200 on dvd and 50 on telegraph.
I have taken to using till spits almost all the time as we are saving points for a holiday, does anyone think that you get more if you :
use them , or
never buy anything (could keep one clubcard unused).

Wombled my very first receipt yesterday, 17 points, woohoo!

I got two yesterday - 300 points for spending £10 on men's clothing, and 100 points for spending £4 or more on Tesco Finest Chilled Ready meals. Now I don't need any clothes and never buy ready meals so does anyone know if the till accepts till spits even if you haven't bought the product? TIA
