I hope that tomorrow the tills will be spitting in earnest for the New Year with things such as '1000 points when you buy a pint of milk'. We can only hope!!!
Happy New Year all!0 -
Our local Tesco is a large one and has the self service tills.
Am I better trying to get vouchers through the self service tills? I haven't had much luck on the manned tills. I try and follow the suggestion re going to a young lad, but there are never any on when I shop:rolleyes:
Will I have more luck with the self service ones?MFIT No. 810 -
Previous poster suggested most likely to get till spits on Mondays and Tuesdays, tried this and it seems to work.
In tesco often over christmas, very busy, no till spits. I wonder if they give it to us for shopping on quiet days? Hence not on Fri - Sun, or busy periods like Christmas.
In reply to question of previous poster - many tescos are quite strict about vouchers and some only take voucher if you buy the product. One near me like this, but at another checkout op told me they had recently decided to take any as long as they sold product and it was not a duplicate. Even so, dont dare use too high a percentage off shop (20 per cent max) in case they change the rules again.
As previously suggested a bored teenager is your best bet, usually found at evenings and weekends, seldom during a weekday.0 -
I haven't had a till-spit since the Turkey one everyone seemed to get earlier in December, can't wait to get back to normal fortnightly offers!
My points are accumulating nicely towards our first family holiday abroad (my aim for this year). Already got over 10,000 points this quarter from 2 wine codes, loads of petrol, some R&R freebies and tons of voucher-reduced shopping. I need to keep up the momentum in January without spending too much...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
