being in debt and hate it

hi i have been in debt before still there as well and yes it is a massive strain on life cant do anything keep getting rejected when asking for help with a bank account problem or many upon many phone calls chasing us up on debts ....

i was thinking of trying to start up somekind of non profit bank or something along the lines there are many people on a low income that have children and are struggling to meet the demands of paying the bills and feeding the kids

my idea is to get visa or mastercard on board to offer a free top up card in order to stop people getting more charges and debts and hoping to get people on board also to work towards getting everyone out of debt maybe in time get the government and big firms on board

we all know if the whole country was debt free our it would be a better future for all of us just a little idea nothing major

would like all of your ideas thanks

Try googling "credit union". I think they are as close to a non-profit bank as you can get. They exist for the benefit of their members (ie they're not for profit), they provide credit for reasonable rates, and they encourage saving.

Don't forget that you can't just decide to set up a bank; the regulations and capital requirements are pretty stringent!

I can't imagine Visa or Mastercard getting on board with an idea like that though; those firms are there to make profit and a "free top up card" isn't really their sort of thing.
