Experian or Equifax for statutory credit file?

Hi there,

Am trying to sort my life out and looking into getting a mortgage via a broker, but think my credit rating may be on the blink, which may mean that I would have to go to my bank. _pale_ I cannot decide whether to use Experian or Equifax to source my statutory credit file. I just want something on paper for my records. Done the Experian online freebie thing before so looking for a cheaper alternative!

Any suggestions/ experiences please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I applied for both today online for £2 each. Experian you get the report by post so I have to wait seven working days to see that. However with Equifax you check online immediately which I appreciated. It seemed very comprehensive had all my credit cards, my main current account an old loan and catalogue.

You really need to check Equifax, Experian and Call Credit to make sure you dont miss something as different lenders etc use different CRA :)
