I've only just registered today but have read these forums for a few weeks now. Felt the need to say a huge thanks for the fab advice you all seem to give, you've just saved me £200 :j
I read about unenforcability of debts here at the weekend and decided I had nothing to lose. On Tuesday I posted the letters to the 8 DCAs that I'm currently paying (£5 to some, £10 to others) and just received a reply from Aktiv Kapital (only 3 days after sending first letter!!) I had owed £217 but had been paying £5 a month for 4 months, leaving £197 outstanding, and they replied saying they had contacted original creditor who could not produce the documents and would therefore not be persuing the debt :j
Only a small victory, but I'm hoping the other 7 may follow suit (wishful thinking hehe) Not bad for the cost of a stamp and less than a week of waiting
