I had some freebie flip flops last year and got my sis a pair for her birthday! VERY comfortable indeed.

    Anyone received theirs yet???

Yay...just arrived, along with a bag of squashed fudge and a catalogue. Very comfy they are too though the toe-guard thingy takes a bit of getting used to. Hope everyone else gets theirs. Well worth it so thanks to the OP

Still think Hawkshead's delivery times and charges are outrageous tho:rolleyes:

  • Just noticed in the catalogue that there is now a free 'bag that turns into a holdall' with every purchase, (code HR034 if anyone is interested)...think I'll give it a miss this time!

Mine arrived last Tuesday. I'm a size 9 so the large footwear is massive for me (size 9-10) - unsure if I'll wear 'em as they are a bit 'odd'.
For info, ordered some shorts that are a little on the 'snug' side. Hawkshead will replace for another size without charging postage again.
Once satisfied with whole order, will be writing to express my disgust with the lack of responses to email, excessive postage costs and overlong delivery times.

  • Hi all, firstly thanks to the original poster of this offer, as normal with Hawkshead they have good to excellent products, with a poor to useless customer service !!!
My order was placed with them on the day of the original post- - the offer then said "free with any purchase"

It now says "free with any footwear order" !!! ???

But as i said my order was placed on the 26th August. it says the order was delivered ?? I've not seen them ??
5 e-mails and not a reply to any, as i said before poor to useless !!??

Phoned earlier as nothing today, spent 15 minutes on hold to be told they use Parcelnet and can take 7-10 days to deliver. The online system they use is from another company and should read 'dispatched' not delivered.

As you have quite rightly said Hawkshead use a different system for their online ordering to their despatch company and there is no link between the 2. Hawkshead are going through a transitional period following a recent takeover and are in the process of evaluating the systems the currently have in place, their online system has many flaws including the 'delivered' term rather than saying despatched. Parcelnet deliveries take between 7-10 working days which I agree may not be satisfactory as this effectively means up to 2 weeks for delivery as working days mean mon-fri.

Bob, out of curiosity, what links do you have with Hawkshead?
Your post appears to be from their point of view - not complaining, I hope if you are from them, the experience of customers is noted and significantly improved upon.
