Has anyones hayfever started yet.

I suffer from tree pollen and last year i took the tablets before it started and i didn't suffer at all so i wasn't really 100% sure if i still had hayfever. Whereas in previous years i waited till it started and i needed sprays, tablets and eye drops.
Only my eyes started itching last night and i wondered if anyone elses were.

I have had a really really itchy nose the past few days. Do you think it might be related? When I think about it, it has mostly been when I've been outside, or coming in from outside...

ps I've never had hayfever before although I did notice last year a couple of times I thought I was starting a cold but it never developed into anything and was just runny nose etc

Could be relevant and hayfever can start just like that, mine started 5 years ago after the birth of my 1st child at the age of 37 couldnt believe it.

No doubt like many others, l took advantage of last years offer in Tesco BOGOF so l am stocked up ready. Grass is my downfall (no not the smoking type...lol)
  • Yup!!!
Take antihistamines daily due to asthma put felt eyes the past few weeks. Had a heavy cold at Xmas and went into throat infection and lost voice for 5 weeks and throats never been right and had Dr check it out and nothing there so I'm thinking that is possibly hayfever too! (usually get a sore throat in the summer with the grass pollen)
Also if anyone hasn't you should try homeopathic treatment, I tried it last year and def helped

Mines started, it was about 2 weeks later than usual but it's here for sure.

There have been some great links for cheap antihistamines on the grabbit board so I'm all sorted for this year:T

Mine started a few days ago too. I thought I must have been imagining it -really? Hayfever in March?? Sigh.
Itchy eyes, runny nose and terminal sneezing. Now where did I put those antihistamines...?

I dont get the itchy eyes bit until the height of summer but my nose is affected all year by strong odours and cold air meaning that I use a nasal spray twice a day every day.

Thanks everyone for your comments, i wanted other people's opinions before i started taking the tablets. I've a feeling my hayfever maybe a couple of weeks later this year due to how bad the weathers been delaying the tree pollen, it is usually finished by mid june thank goodness, although i suppose it could finish earlier but the tablets do a good job. I've only bought my tablets on prescription from the chemists before so i'll have to look out for the offers on here.
