Sammy our next door neighbour is a Computer Engineer - he has checked out both our laptops and fitted a new router for us. He tried his laptop in our house - no joy -and ours in his house - guess what it worked. Also managed to log on in Costa on Sunday but didn't have long as they were just about to close. Neighbour advised us to go with BT as, even though they might be a bit pricier, they still own the line and other companies still have to go through them if there is a fault.
The time we have wasted - well OH mainly- on the phone to talktalk - you wouldn't believe. They rang yesterday and said they could send an engineer out BUT they would have to charge us ! :mad:Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -
Random - if you don't exercise much now, start by walking lots, then move onto running when you feel a bit fitter - sure you can do a 5K by summer. We were thinking of going to Sky...we were with BT a long time ago and had problems with them quite a lot...
We have had no problems with Tiscali the whole time we were with them, but since talk talk....pah...Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

I'm with Sky Sammy. They are ok I suppose. I have their very basic package for £5 per month (free if you have Sky Talk which I don't). It tends to be fine for a couple of months then it goes tits up for a week or two and their advice on the phone varies between useless and very helpful.
I think it's the same whoever you go with though. It doesn't help that my fastest speed is 1Mb and frequently as low as half that.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

Hi Maz!!!!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
I'm shattered.
Just spent the morning looking at more wheels for DH then as it was lovely and sunny, stopped to buy a sarnie and had an impromptu (sp) picnic in the park. Walked home rather than getting a taxi, 2.7 miles of sheer hard pushing (lots of hills too). Salesman was trying to talk us into something brand new and £5k, he just wouldn't listen to our budget......so he's lost our business....I would say it was a waste of the day but the picnic was lovely.
DH is now in bed, I'm going to veg out with a cup of tea and the telly for an hour and then crack on with the ironing...DD1 is cooking a chicken curry tonight so I'll just need to supervise rather than do the whole thing....bliss!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
