Advice need for friend on IVA

This is not for me but posting so I can pass on some advice to a colleage -- she is currently on an IVA for a couple of years and is now struggling to pay the company she has gone with (she contacted CCCS on my advise but as she is already in an IVA they can't help). She has now just been told she is being medically discharged from her position - we believe she will received a very small medical pension - obviously she won't be able to pay the IVA money - is her next step bankruptsy.

She is getting herself into a state as this will all happen very quickly in the next month - she is phoning her IVA company as soon they open - to inform them - I think she should declare herself bankrupt (its quite abit of money from when she was younger) and see this as a fresh start - she knows she has been stupid in the past.

Any advice I can give her.
