I did a search for this and couldnt find anything. My local (tiny) sainsbury's in Saltburn-by-the-Sea has a couple of the 30p veg items ... 4 baking potatoes, 500g bag of carrots. http://www2.sainsburys.co.uk/instoreoffers/03_03_2010.htm

I hope they get the oranges and the apples

tried these yesterday. Baking spuds the best, only 3 small oranges per pack, 500g carrots. Personally think aldi super six better, but nice to have the option of cheaper in sainsburys.

Just to say that not all of the range could be available in each of the stores, the big stores would have the whole range but the smaller stores eg the locals may not have the whole range

Oadby Leicester also had packs of sliced mushrooms the other day - would normally buy whole and loose, but for 30p who can complain.

  • My local Aldi had some lovely mushrooms for 49p. Looked like class A to me.

  • Did no one think some of the items in Sainsburys were a bit of a swizz? I mean, the 30p sliced mushrooms- the pack was SO small and I did a quick bit of maths and it was still way more expensive than ordinary mushrooms (though I concede, not sliced...). One of the bags of carrots in my store had 3 in it! I mean, come on...

The potatoes were great, mind. Still a long way overall to beat Morrisons, I'd say...

I thought the apples were quite good. They seemed quite big and 4 for 30p isn't bad when compared against the ordinary price.
