Its all about you isn't it - actually I meant I had come out as ENTJ (or whatever it was, can't quite remember) - I did not get as far as guessing personality types for nice people, only the left /right libertarian / authoritarian thing

I clicked through to type description and in para 2 it says less than 2% are ENTJs - I don't think I am tho!

I did that test some while ago after a suggestion in the Arms....I did it again anyway and it came back with the same result.

INTJ or a Mastermind which apparently is very rare and only found in no more than 1% of the population.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well naturally it is all about me. Did you imagine you mattered?

You're ENTJ? I really should pay more attention. I thought you were all mealy mouthed and lets play pooh sticks.

Do you demand perfection while you climb corporate mountains?

I knew I liked you for a reason. I was IN something too.

That's where these things fall down. They don't allow for my split personality.... my answers vary according to how I feel at the time. :)

That's because they are really not meant to be done online like that. I've done the training course for the Myers Briggs thingy - which is the one that gives you those four letter results like ENFP etc. Its proper name is "Myers Briggs Type Indicator". It's called an indicator because it indicates what your personality preferences might be. However, when it's used according to its ethical guidelines, after answering the questions, you should get a personal feedback session with someone who's been trained to help you disentangle your inate personality from all the factors that have influenced how you've developed. When it's done properly it's really interesting, and can be extremely helpful, but if it's just a computer questionnaire resulting in four letters that the punter doesn't understand then it's pretty pointless.

PS for those who understand these things - I'm ENFJ :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The ENFJ may feel quite lonely even when surrounded by people. This feeling of aloneness may be exacerbated by the tendency to not reveal their true selves.
People love ENFJs. They are fun to be with, and truly understand and love people. They are typically very straight-forward and honest. Usually ENFJs exude a lot of self-confidence, and have a great amount of ability to do many different things. They are generally bright, full of potential, energetic and fast-paced.

Yes, I can see that one too........

Mmm, I have used it in the past too. However much questions are repeated in slightly different format, to check answers, attempts at disguise are usually quite obvious. It's pretty easy to 'cheat' should one want to... even if that only means cheating oneself. ;)

I think I owe Michaels an apology.

She and I seem to end up at each others throats.

I think the problem lies with me. I sometimes (often) type as I am thinking. I forget there is a real person at the end of the keyboard, reading.

I'm not thinking about the issue of people deliberately cheating. I mean the way in which who I am is the result of a very complicated interaction between who I was inately born to be, and what has happened to me over the last 40 years.

For example, I was born F, but my family are all very much T. So I have F instincts underneath, but for a long time I was a lot better at typically T skills than at F ones. The analogy is the child who was born left-handed but has been forced to learn to write with their right hand and now always does use their right hand for writing, but maybe left hand for brushing teeth, or something.

When I first got interested in MBTI several years ago, it took me months to work out that I'm really F. In contrast, I knew very quickly that I'm E, and I shouldn't imagine that anyone who's ever met me would have the slightest hesitation in diagnosing me as E (if they knew what the letters meant, of course). :rotfl:
