Help- Mortgage worries!

Hi there,

I am currently applying for a mortgage with my partner. He is a First Time Buyer. I have never paid towards a mortage however, my parents own a flat which I stay in for studies and my name is on the mortgage with them as guarantors. We were looking to get an 85-90% LTV mortgage however we don't know what the joint app will be classed as. I.E. is it possible to put him as main applicant and for us to get a FTB mortgage?

Santander have brought back in 90% LTV mortgages for FTB new builds and we are keen for this. However, as already stated we do not know if we can be classed as FTBs on the mortgage app.

Help?!
