Falcon Group Questionnaire..advice please

We recently sent off a letter making a claim as we believe we were mis-sold our endowment policy with this group. They have responded by sending us a questionnaire on A4 paper which has 13 complicated questions over 8 pages!!
Do we have to fill this in or is it a ploy to try to put us off? It basically covers what we already said in the letter but asks for minute details. One of the questions is ..Have you made any other claims to other companies ? Do we have to answer that...we are in contact with another company but that was totally different circumstances where we didn't see anybody about financial advice as it was the only mortage offered by the company we worked for at the time.

We have stated our reasons for claiming and they have all of the original file isn't that enough? The policy was with AXA

Hi Cotsvale,
no you don't have to answer questions that a) you don't know the answer to, and b) that you don't believe are relevant to this claim.
You're quite right that your other claim has nothing to do with them so they don't need to know about it, some firms have also been asking about wages and investment back at the point of sale. Most people would not know exactly what they were earning 10 years ago and more to the point the firms should have this info in their files
