Tesco Fairy dishwasher Tabs DTD

Hi late this afternoon went into my local Tesco as prev mentioned dishwasher tabs are BOGOF and someone got DTD on platnium fairy dishwasher tabs however my local had normal 28 original and lemon for £4 BOGOF (cheap for £2 each, I thought) however I got charged £7.49 BOGOF so went to cs and recieved DTD over £40 returned- paid for todays shop.
keep an eye out for this.

Hi,
I got 6 packs should be £4 for 2 but paid £7.49 for 2 so overcharged £3.49 DTD = £6.98 X 6 = £41.88.
This is how CS worked it out and gave me back.
thinking about it they should have only paid £6.98 x 3 i think.

I did 4 in one store and 4 in another.One store refunded me £13.96 and another £21!!I didnt mind either refund really cos it was still free dishwasher tablets!!!It is interesting how the stores differ in the maths though with the bogof "double the difference refund".

Just been into Helsby Tesco and they are priced £7.49 BOGOF, so didn't get any, they didn't have any of the cheap pancake mix or cheap head & shoulders, not a good bargain day!

Sorry to appear thick but what is DTD? and how does it work?

DTD = Double The Difference.

How does it work? Read the above posts, even Tesco can't work it out. lol.

They're supposed to give you back twice the amount that you have been overcharged.

I have been to tescon in Bursledon, Southampton. They have taken off labels buy 2 for £4 already, there is just offer £7.49 BOGOF.

I also checked Easter eggs with mugs - they are reduced to £1.99 ; took them to scan but still went £1.99 so think they fixed it as well.

There are lots of pancake mixtures left ( 25 pence each), voucher 30 pence off at the back so take it off before you go to the till then you get it for free and 5 p off your bill. According to label you can make 6 pancakes. Comes in a white plastic bottle (like mini milk botttle), I bought 2 (actually tesco gave them for free ), I am going to be busy tomorrow morning making those pancakes!

Just bought 4 packs Fairy 'pure clean' dishwash tabs. Shelf price said £4.00 and BOGOF, I was charged £7.49 and BOGOF, so overcharge was £6.98. DTD took it up to £13.96 refund. So total spend was £1.02 for 112 dishwash tablets.
Trouble is once you've drawn their attention to it, they are not going to keep letting people do it
