I'm a Lovefilm customer and received a promotional leaflet today with a special offer from emusic.com for Lovefilm customers. As far as I can tell, you don't actually need to be a Lovefilm customer to benefit - I just tried to register with a different name and email address and it worked!
Go to emusic dot com forward slash lovefilm (I'm a new user so it won't let me put the actual link.)
You'll need to register with some basic details including credit/debit card details, but the free downloads are part of a free trial, so once you've used your 'credits' you can cancel the free trial and keep your downloads for free. I've just downloaded 50 tracks and an audiobook, and cancelled it straight away.
Groovy!

"If you don't love eMusic, simply cancel during your free trial and your credit card will not be charged. Either way, keep the free downloads as our gift to you for trying us out. "
...how can they charge you a tenner? I read the t+c's beforehand, it does state that as long as you cancel the free trial before it expires, and you don't exceed your credits, you won't be charged. I haven't been charged as yet...
Maybe because you say you did it twice? It's limited to one per person. Or were you charged twice?0 -
I've had a couple of free emusic trials (you can sign up for more than one trial with a different email address and a different card number) and I've never been charged. You have to be careful to both cancel before the trial expires *and* not download more than the 50 tracks, as you'll be charged if you do."In all affairs it's a healthy thing now and then to hang a question mark on the things you have long taken for granted." - Bertrand Russell0

I've done this before, but through Quidco, oh and there was no probs cancelling.
The current offer is £4 free for taking out a trial subscription.
