Whiteabbey Road Works

Just a warning to anyone in the whiteabbey area, particularly Fernagh/Cloughfern. As you may know they are doing loads of roadworks round the area at the minute and yesterday my husband fell down a hole on the station road on his way to the train station. They have two cordoned off bits and a large blue plastic sheet covering the hole in the middle. My husband went to walk on it and it slipped out under him and he was chest deep in a hole:eek::eek::eek:. He injured his right hand, his ribs and his back. If you know anyone in the area tell them to take extra care especially older people. If an older person had of gone down that hole they would have been screwed and possible very seriously injured.

Im putting this on MSE as we have paid a fortune in painkillers and packs for my husband and he also has to miss work. So think of the money we would have if he hadn't fallen down the hole. Plus i want to make sure no one else hurts themselves.
