I wouldn't pay a penny for it - poor detection rate.

Go for Avira or Avast instead.

Or use the free Microsoft Security Essentials anti virus protection.
Just recently put it on an old laptop having removed Avast and find it now starts up in about 2 mins instead of 12 mins. :j

I have to agree that AVG is not a good product at all. Used to be but seems like they have lost the plot IMHO. Microsoft Security Essentials, Avast and Avira are all fanastic products. There is never a 100% safe anti-virus product. I also use Spybot Search & Destroy and Malwarebyte Anti-Malware.
