Carl Wright seems to be claiming that the agreement between his company and the solicitors was such that an after the event indemnity should have been in place (from the quick read I gave the full interview today on Daily Mirror website) but wasn't.
If so then it's a claim against the lawyers I would think.......it's a mad situation and I still cringe when I think about the brokers that were ringing me and asking why I wouldn't want to be involved. I'd love to hear the conversations they are having with some of their clients right now.Happily an ex mortgage broker!0 -

God knows how Cartel will reclaim it?....I know of one IFA who was a Master Broker with 120 Cartel Agents and he himself did a presentation to a very high profile football team..telling all those players who are on £000,s per week and have large portfolios of BTL'S they could claim on these...so they parted with thousands!
From what I hear agents haven't been paid since around Christmas....CW planned well for this....as the following quote would suggest...
Quote:he admits the firm owes more than it is owed and that the first million pounds is owed to him personally, under the terms of a debenture he took out last August.
I'd hoped we'd seen the back of him when Cartel Mortgages went into administration.....The FSA knew about him...why the MOJ issued him a licence is a mystery...what is worse a pyramid company has just sprung up..is licenced by the MOJ registered in the names of close associates of CW & the same address as Cartel....disgrace!
