Steak is £2.50 extra. Don't know about High Life cards.

  • Popped in for lunch today. Very pleasant surroundings and it appeared to be very popular with all tables occupied. We ordered the Ploughman's lunch and the Tempura Chicken. I found the batter on the Tempura chicken to be rather heavy and greasy and the accompanying chips rather pale and underdone although portion size was fine. The Ploughman's consisted of three slices of ham, two thin triangular cheese slices, small bowl of white pickles and one of piccalilli and two tiny slices of wheaten bread - at £6.95 I felt that this was seriously overpriced.

Don't think we'll be back there again. There are better places to eat in the area.

I take it back! It just seemed rather made up for dramatic effect... but hey, all good :)
