Help With Overpayment

I am the PWC, my normal maintanance is £209 a month ,the employees normally wait the 19 days that the csa give them to pay and so it normally gets paid around the 19th of each month.
I telephoned the csa on the 26th February to ask if Januarys payment had been paid and was told yes it was paid to them on the 17th Feb and will be released to me that day.
On checking my bank account yesterday i found that £209 had not been paid BUT £1046, i telephoned the CSA straight away and asked why such a large amount had been paid as there are no arrears and where had it come from , i am waiting on a special payment agreed by the csa for maladministration but this is only £200.
The csa said the system was only showing the payment as that amount and could give no explaination as to the amount being incorrect.
Today they have advised me that they are waiting on a call back from the employers to find out why they have sent that amount.
I have many concerns, as the employees tend to send all their employers csa payments in one bulk payment, it seems they have sent this months csa payments to my account only.
Could anyone advise as to what will happen if this is confirmed also i am confused as to why the CSA payroll have allowed this amount to go into my account when it would show as not matching the payment schedule amount and as it is too high an amount it normally would have been held back until they had questioned the employers as to the amount.
many thanks

AHA! So you have my missing child support :rotfl: CSA clowns don't know their @rse from their elbow. I'm sick to the back teeth of such an incompetend organisation.
Can you tell I've had my monthly run in with them!
To your query I expect they may try and get the money back from you.*SIGH*

LOL, i am so tired of them , have only been recieving csa for 12 months but my phone bill is huge because of the constant telephone calls i have to make over issue after issue. My son is 19yrs soon so will be glad to see the end.
The fact that i could have other peoples csa money though is soooo wrong and i'm not happy about being put in the situation.... it just never seems to end.....0 -
Could your ex have recieved a bonus payment or something, and you have correctly recieved your percentage.
(Works for a bank does he?):wave:0 -
i don't know to be honest but would think the employers would still only send the amount that would be the payment schedule ie £209.....they've been very awkward from the beginning deliberately using the wrong reference number so that all my payments have fell on the old system and i've had to wait nearly 3 weeks each time to recieve it, this was only sorted recently when the CSA sent them a warning to use the correct reference

I know exactly what you mean. I have had a least 4 payment schedules in the last few months and every time a payment is due it's either late or for the wrong amount. I mean c'mon how hard can it be.LOL, i am so tired of them , have only been recieving csa for 12 months but my phone bill is huge because of the constant telephone calls i have to make over issue after issue. My son is 19yrs soon so will be glad to see the end.

you never know, i don't think it crosses some employers mind that THEIR employee, the NRP, may be completely happy with paying CSA for their child and does not want then to have to wait 3 weeks ever month to recieve it, i know my sons father still thinks to this day that his son recieves it at the same time he recieves his wages and not 3 weeks after .He is happy to support him and i feel it is wrong for employers to control monies that do not belong to them in the way that some do

You & the NRP could always contact the CSA & arrange to have the amount assessed by the CSA paid by the NRP directly to the PWC by bank standing order.
The NRP would have to clearly label this payment as "Child support paid to (PWC name) for (Child's name).
This is known as direct payment & not a private arrangement. Therefore, the NRP would still have to pay the CSA figure.
This should be acceptable to the CSA as long as there are no arrears owing to the S.o.S.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
CSA case closed on 02/09/10 :beer::beer:0 -
"So why are those clowns involved?"
It's complicated
, basically my sons father has now re married , his now wife controls all the monies and is money obssessed IMO, through out the time they've been together both my children have been continually pushed out in favour of her own children who live there, they've sat through xmas's where they've recieved hardly anything yet watched her children openening sack loads, they watched as she arrives home from shopping on their dads payday with carrier bags full of clothes etc for her children and nothing for them , the bags being rushed upstairs ,they have seen her giving her children money behind their dads back after they have been told nearly every day or if they ask that they haven't a penny.
The list is endless and would break your heart if it were told, 'flowers in the attic' has nothing on her, truly.
The childrens dad knows what goes on but does nothing ,he has always been a person who lives in denial and just wants a quite life so no matter how hard my children fought for themselves he never once fought back for them ,her children had it all. They have now given up completely, on bothering to tell him anything. My son who lives with me has not spoken to him for 2 yrs and has wiped him completely from his mind.My daughter has set up home herself.
They and I have tried endlessley to help him grow a backbone but to no avail.
As she controls all monies , to give his children anything he has to pass through her, only to be told everytime 'we haven't a penny'.Applying for CSA by DEO was the only way of taking this control away from her and to fight my childrens corner .
Their dad has told my daughter ' i am glad your mum applied for CSA and that you now get some money'.........totally spineless.....what he means is that as he has no control over it ,it doesn't cause problems with his wife even though she's not happy about it, she can't blame him or make it stop
Anything other than a DEO would give her an advantage and i'm not prepared to do that.0
