Protected trust deed query

Hi, from a nervous panicky person, I currently am in a trust deed which I have been in for the last 2 years and 8 months, does anyone positively know what happens at the end of the 3 year period, will it be reviewed and more years added or will it come to an end. I just wanted to see if anyone here has been in a 3 yr protected trust deed and to find out what happened to them after the 3 yr period, thanks in advance.

Hi Panicbutton,

Most protected trust deeds end after three years in terms of your payments. It will then take a further period for the company you chose to bring everything to the closure point.

Some people have Trust Deeds that last longer than three years. Some people also have to make an extra contribution in lieu of assets such as their home or a car. Whether this applies to you will come down to the terms you committed to when you signed the Trust Deed.
