Hi,
I usually buy a punnet of strawberries and one of raspberries for OH to make smoothies. These tend to go off and mushy by end of week. Can these be frozen or should I just freeze the smoothies? (milk & fruit!)
thanks.

since the fruit would go mushy once defrosted anyway, you may as well freeze the smoothie since milk is fine to freeze. You may find it separates some on defrosting, but a good shake sorts that.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070

You need to open freeze them on trays till frozen then put in bags, this way they wont stick together and are easier to get out the amount you want to use, you can use them in a smoothie or milkshake straight from frozen if you have a good blender it makes it lovely and cold!Member 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4

I'd freeze them whole and use them for the smoothies straight from the freezer. They are also very pretty as icecube substitutes in drinks! And they taste lovely after they've absorbed whatever drink you had them in!Context is all.
