You could do something on a smaller scale on your board though.

good idea about the books.

for the stuff like breadmaker, fondue sets, records and clothes. sell them on ebay use the profit to pay off debts, pay for hols or to buy the item you desire

Remember to add the packaging you are going to use and then weigh it.Then go here to find out the cost of posting it and write that cost in the listing so you are not paying somebody to take it away for you!

Talking of swapping I found some info in another thread about Freecycling, their website - https://www.freecycle.org

You can sign up for a local one and its a bit like swapping.

There's several such schemes already running - Freecycle has already been mentioned, and there's one for books:

I would love a nationwide type Freecycle for smaller stuff where for the price of postage people could get stuff!
