To stop using a really good (and already pretty cheap) site just because they've finally gotten round to removing a code that was only supposed to be valid until the end of march is just silly. You should be grateful that you got that extra 5% off for an extra 4 months and just be happy for the 15% off you get with HSBCone8Two1 (which is still valid as I've used it twice this week). They don't have to give you any money off at all, how many other sites do you know that run an indefinate 15% off code for their site.

Any saving is better than nothing, think of all those poor fools who've never heard of the MSE forums and still pay full price for everything they buy!

Well wowza Katie, good for you if you're OK to pay full prices - I'm not, what with having other expenses, so the asos code provided me with much-needed money off.

I think your post is pretty rude, to be honest. We are all here to save money, and I never told anyone else to stop using asos, just gave my thoughts. I thought this board was meant for people to pass on money saving tips, not to attack people for saying they can't really afford something without the discount. If you've not got anything constructive to say, don't say anything at all, cos from what I can see from your post, what you're saying to me is that I'm nothing more than a spoilt brat. Get over yourself.

Yasmina, you didn't say you couldn't afford to shop there without that extra 5%. You just said that they'd lost a customer for getting around to removing a code that should have only been valid for a few weeks in March. All I did was give my opinion, which was constructive as I gave a code for 15% for you in case you didn't know of it, and for anyone who clicked on your post thinking it was something useful only to discover that it was a pointless comment.

At no point did I imply that you were a spoilt brat, or say anything rude or insulting to you. But after reading your response and your comment 'get over yourself', it is quite clear that that is exactly what you are.
  • just tried all the discount codes on asos, all of them say 'not valid', would anyone have any other codes i could try..

    thanks

Im quite impressed with ASOS today.

I order 2 items from them, and today my order came but one of the items was missing!

There was a letter saying that they were unable to fulfill my order so they had sent me a copy of more magazing, a free sample of aussie haircare and they had refunded me for the item and the p&p!!!

I used a discount code too so got all of that and the top I bought for under £6 :j

Im gutted I didnt get what I wanted but it goes to show they give a great service!

The point of the matter is I used HSBCgrad1two8 and it worked ;)

It was the 5% discount code that asos was going to lose a customer over I think. The 15% discount code was posted by dan23uk, which is a much better code, maybe good enough to gain a customer, who knows?
I also find Katies post ok, I totally agree that 15% off is fantastic, and people should not expect a discount, just if one is available its a bonus.
Yasmina, I think you overreacted to katies post, I dont think it was at all rude, though your response was.
