Gloss Paint on sofa

We've just had our living room decorated, and after the decorator left last night, I noticed that there was one very small spot of gloss paint (like a drip size) on the arm of the sofa.
I've tried using the carpet shampooer with Stardrops, and rubbing it with a cloth dipped in white spirit but no joy in shifting it. It's not absolutely fatal because we are planning on having the sofa re-covered at the end of August, but it would be nice to be able to get it off, so that it looks OK between now and then. Any and all suggestions to shift it would be welcome.

Homebase do a product that is supposed to remove paint from fabrics. I don't know if it will work on gloss or just emulsion. They stock it by the paint section.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.
