Ok the salsa lessons aren't a need but they are my one night out a week - its a lesson with a club to freedance afterwards rather than just a lesson to learn it. I've been doing it on and off for 3 years and for the £7 you get two one hour lessons and the dancefloor and music to dance afterwards.

Seems fairly good value. I do yoga once a week at £5 for an hour, so £20-25 a month. If you budget for it, it's very managable, and it's also a) something active b) something social and c) something enjoyable. Taken in that context, I believe it represents excellent value for money.

Take the MSE advice. Cut back first on everything you can get cheaper without sacraficing the thing itself and if that doesn't cut it, then you have to start binning off the unessentials. You might find that savings elsewhere allow you to manage Salsa lessons no problem.
